Security by design in Swiss Post’s new e-voting system

The first expert webinar on Swiss Post’s new e-voting system was held in mid-June. Experts from all over the world took part.

During the webinar on security by design, members of Swiss Post’s e-voting team provided insights into the community programme and the initial findings. The webinar focused on Swiss Post’s approach to implementing security by design in its cryptographic work and software development. Experts from all over the world then discussed questions and comments.

New Swiss Post e-voting system: cryptographic protocol disclosed

19.01.2021|Swiss Post will disclose its new e-voting system in stages, as part of a community programme. Swiss Post will invite experts to evaluate the system. In the first step, the cryptographic protocol will be available to be checked.

Disclosure of e-voting system: key cryptographic algorithms published as open-source content

23.03.2021 | In the second phase of the disclosure of its new e-voting system, Swiss Post is publishing key cryptographic algorithms. These can be found in an open-source library.

E-voting system’s "construction manual" disclosed

05.05.2021 | The disclosure of Swiss Post’s new e-voting system is making progress. Various improvements have already been implemented thanks to feedback from national and international experts. The system specifications are now ready for verification. A public bug bounty programme for e-voting is being launched in the second half of the year.
